PIWC TESANO in collaboration with the Youth Ministry of the church held the Gospel Sunday Service for the month of February. Amidst the joy of outreaches and the desire to win souls, the Resident Minister of the Church; Pastor Benedict Eghan spoke passionately on the topic LOOK TO JESUS AND LIVE.
Giving a background to his sermon, he referred the church to the story of the Old Testament where the Israelites had to look unto the bronze serpent in order to live, after disobeying God. He brought to the notice of the church, the significance of that, as representing the blood of Jesus Christ which he shed for our salvation.
Bringing home, the need to understand the essence of this gift of salvation for all, he mentioned among others that;
*Just like the Israelites, our rebellion against God is mostly as a result of our impatience.
*The greatest rebellion of Man is to reject God’s gift of salvation.
*God, out of His love for us, has made an eternal provision for our salvation.
*Many, regardless of this provision, do not accept this gift due to their personal reasons.
*The most miserable thing that could happen to anybody, is to die without Christ.
Pastor Benedict Eghan, having elaborated on the dire need of salvation to everybody brought to the attention of the church, that whereas Salvation is a free gift to man, it is not a cheap gift and must not be taken for granted.
